lunchline inc. was founded in 2002, and specializes in assisting manufacturers who wish to enter the primary and secondary school market channels with strategic marketing plans, in-school student testing, product packaging design, as well as in naming each manufacturer's product(s).

Our expertise in the U.S.D.A.'s National School Lunch Program, our focus is on the K-12 food market channel.

Karen Peterson, president and owner of lunchline inc., is a 25-year veteran of the foodservice industry. She has served as a foodservice consultant to a number of prominent North American companies where her expertise has been utilized to address a broad range of sales, marketing and business development projects. Her clients have included Pizza Hut, Papa John’s, Nestle USA, Precision Foods, Cooper Farms, and ConAgra Food Service. Her emphasis is on developing growth strategies, co-branding opportunities and business partnerships.

Most recently, she served as Vice President of Sales & Marketing of Southland Brands, Inc. of Carson California. In this position, she developed a corporate identity program leveraging the company’s expertise in bagels to create additional market opportunities. Additionally, while at Southland, she developed a co-packing relationship with
Chuck E. Cheese and was instrumental in helping that corporation introduce their product into schools, while utilizing Southland Brands, Inc.’s production capabilities. Ms. Peterson oversaw all internal and external communications. While at the company, Ms. Peterson launched a successful branding campaign that included a corporate name change, preparation of new collateral and sales materials, and implemented marketing initiatives to establish trade show, advertising and Internet programs.

Prior to that, she successfully consulted with large corporate clients as well as small start-ups. With Frozen Fusion, a start-up Arizona-based 26-store QSR chain, she forged a partnership with Barnes & Noble College Bookstores and Host Marriott to open 3 prototype stores within a four-month period. She led a team of consulting professionals to establish programs that paved the way for the product’s entry into schools, college and university foodservice programs.
